Minigun and Rocket Launcher Crafting Recipes

Don't sell the magazine your Minigun needs. The Deadly Days: Roadtrip crafting recipe for the Minigun uses a blue AK-47, a blue SMG, and a blue Extra Magazine. For the Rocket Launcher, collect a blue Balloon Pump, a blue Hunting Rifle, and a green Grenade.

Rocket LauncherBlue Balloon Pump + blue Hunting Rifle + green Grenade

Pay attention to ingredient rarity. Finding the correct item type is only part of completing either recipe. A green SMG still leaves you short of the Minigun's blue SMG requirement.

Pick one weapon to pursue before filling your storage with parts for both. Keep the Minigun's three ingredients together in your planning, or commit to the Rocket Launcher's combination. Carrying an unfinished second recipe competes with backpack space and the scrap you need for repairs.

Use the Workbench to Track Missing Ingredients

In version 1.0, the workbench recipe list sorts recipes by what you can craft. It also displays ingredient counts and their rarities, making it easier to identify the piece holding up your next weapon.

Before selling spare equipment:

  • Inspect the recipe you want to complete.
  • Compare each required ingredient's rarity with what you own.
  • Keep matching equipment needed for a merge.
  • Sell unrelated gear only after checking your crafting needs.

Merging equipment into stronger versions and crafting a different weapon are separate parts of inventory management. Use merges to work toward the ingredient rarities your chosen recipe requires.

The crafted Uzi is Rare in version 1.0, increased from Uncommon. Keep that change in mind when comparing its output with older crafting information.

Five Craft-Only Weapons Added in Version 1.0

The October 29, 2026 update added 10 weapons, including five available only through crafting. These additions give you several different effects to build around:

  • Flamethrower: Projects flames and leaves fires that deal a portion of its damage every second. Those fires can apply Burn.
  • Desert Eagle: Delivers high damage and pierces one additional enemy.
  • Mega Shotgun: Combines very high damage with a large number of pellets.
  • Crossbow: Embeds bolts in enemies. When triggered, those bolts repeat on-hit effects.
  • The Grinder: Attacks with a spiked spinning wheel.

Match your supporting items to the weapon's actual mechanics. For a Crossbow setup, inspect your on-hit effects before rearranging the backpack. For the Flamethrower, account for both its direct attack and the fires it leaves behind.

Hammer and Lottery Ticket Crafting Support

The Hammer upgrades marked items by one rarity at the end of the day, but cannot raise them above its own rarity. Mark an ingredient that needs an upgrade, then check whether the Hammer's rarity can reach your target. A Hammer below that target cannot finish the job by itself.

The Lottery Ticket has a chance to prevent crafting from consuming an ingredient. It also offers chances for a free reroll or repair, and can revive you on death at the cost of destroying the ticket.

Plan around having the full recipe ready. Any ingredient saved by the ticket is a bonus for your remaining inventory.

Make Room for the Finished Weapon

The Minigun takes substantial backpack space. Before completing it, plan where the weapon and its supporting items will fit, then inspect which selectors actually mark it.

Adjacency effects can strengthen your weapons, so fitting everything into the grid is only the starting point. Reposition support items after crafting rather than assuming the previous arrangement still works.

Hand requirements also matter when equipping weapons. Plasma Hand, another craftable addition in version 1.0, counts as unlimited extra hands for equipping them. Keep backpack space and available hands in mind when planning a loadout with multiple large weapons.
